As part of our 100 Days of Summer Fun, we wanted to highlight some of the best parks around the CSRA! The kids will be full of energy and it is so nice to get outside (mom get a chair with an umbrella) and let the kids get sweaty and tired! Plus, if you are new to town, this will give you an opportunity to get to know the area and explore your new city.

8th Street Splash Pad – Downtown Augusta

Downtown Augusta is such a fun place to take your kids for a day of adventure! There are so many things to do. I would recommend taking them for a nice stroll on Riverwalk and then let them cool off at the 8th Street Splash Pad. This fountain feature is located right next to the Augusta Marriott and Augusta Convention Center. The splash area is right in the middle of the brick-lined pedestrian road. There is some seating and the mist from this powerful fountain is sure to keep you cool as you watch the kiddos play. There are no restrooms or changing areas nearby. A great day to visit would be on Saturday during the Augusta Farmers Market!
