The Augusta Canal Trails are located along the Augusta Canal. Walk the dirt towpaths or paved paths. You can even access The Clearing, a low area near the Savannah River that gives you access to the Shoals. Be sure to watch for wildlife near that spot. There are several spots along the canal where you can launch kayaks.

The two-tier brick-layer walkway gives a full view of the Savannah River. There is a playground near the 5th Street Marina and you can walk on the 5th Street Freedom Pedestrian Bridge.
