The quickest access point is from Eisenhower Park. Walk down the tracks, bear left and over the bridge. Bear a left off the bridge and walk down to the end of the sidewalk. If you look to your right…you will see a small clearing that leads to a trail that takes you to the waterway. Please be careful…it is steep.

The Sandbar is located by the boat dock near Boeckh Park in Hammonds Ferry. Be mindful of your surroundings. Never approach wildlife.

The Quickest Access Point Is From The Eisenhower Park. Walk alongside the railroad tracks, hang a left, go over the canal bridge and then make a left. Walk down the trail and you will come upon the Clearing on the Right. Please be mindful of wildlife and be cautious on the rocks.

You can access the Aqueduct Park from the Augusta Canal near the Lake Olmstead Trailhead. Take the Mill Village Trail and you will find it on your right. Be cautious on the rocks.
** The Augusta Canal National Heritage Area has stated that the water flow can be unpredictable and dangerous. If you choose to swim…please be cautious and safe.
