Celebrate Women’s History Month

From celebrities to authors, educators, athletes, and entrepreneurs, Women’s History Month gives us ample chance to lift them all up. Join the Augusta Museum of History for our March Family Fun Day as we celebrate Women with ties to Augusta and their amazing accomplishments.

Special Guest: Karin Sisk will portray Aiken, SC suffragist and trail-blazing entrepreneur, Eulalie Sallie. She will also provide an overview of the suffrage movement and the fight for women’s right to vote.

Hunt for Historic Heroines – Pick up a copy of our special scavenger hunt and explore the Museum in search of Women of Augusta highlighted in our exhibits. Bring your completed sheet to the front desk to collect one of our NEW Museum Trading Cards.

Crafts: Crafts will highlight Astronaut Susan Still Kilrain and Suffragist Eulalie Salley.

Game: Augusta Women Guess Who? Game
Remember the classic Guess Who? game that originated in the 1970s? Well, our version highlights notable Augusta women and their accomplishments – astronauts, athletes, authors, educators, and more. We invite you to grab a partner and challenge them to learn more about Augusta women who have changed the world.
