Star Wars Reads Day

Young Padawans, Jedi Masters, and Sith Lords are invited to take a trip to “a galaxy far, far away” at the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System’s (ARCPLS) FREE annual Star Wars Reads Day. Tom Angleberger, author of the Origami Yoda series and most recently, The Mighty Chewbacca in the Forest of Fear! is this year’s guest of honor. The first 30 families in attendance will receive a free copy of one of guest of honor’s Star Wars-themed titles. Books by the author will also be available for purchase courtesy of the Book Tavern. Mr. Angleberger will read from his work and sign books.

Other highlights include book giveaways for the first 300 children and youth attendees, Star Wars-themed story time, arts and crafts, Star Wars music played by the Richmond County Orchestra Program, trivia contests, and an artists’ alley and silent auction.
