Spring Story Time
Story Time, a cherished reading program that promotes literacy in our community’s youth, begins its spring season on Tuesday, March 1, at 4:00 PM. This program will occur every Tuesday during the months of March, April and May. Story Time is held on the grounds of Rye Patch, located at 100 Berrie Rd and is free to attend.
Parents are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket; snacks and drinks are welcome. Families will receive a free book at every reading session to build their home library. This program occurs every Tuesday afternoon in March, April and May with the exception of Tuesday, April 5. Families are encouraged to bring used books from home to help stock the Little Free Library in Hopelands Gardens. The Little Free Library, installed in April 2017, is a free book exchange that further encourages the mission of Story Time.
Story Time would not be possible without support from these gracious sponsors: United Way of Aiken County, Aiken Rotary Club, Pediatric Therapy of Aiken, Kitfox Dentistry, Smith, Massey, Brodie, Guynn & Mayes, LLC., the Friends of Hopelands and Rye Patch. Sponsorship opportunities for this upcoming spring season are still available for those who would like to promote literacy among young readers. If you are interested in being a sponsor for Story Time, please contact Amber Coffey at (803)623-2161 or email@example.com.
In the event of inclement weather, Story Time will be held inside Rye Patch Reception Center.
