Savannah River Ecology Laboratory Scientist Sean Poppy

Join us for an educational presentation with Scientist Sean Poppy, who will present various wildlife species, provide insightful information about them, and explain their roles within our ecosystem. This event is suitable for all age groups.

Now, as the University of Georgia’s Savannah River Ecology Laboratory’s program outreach coordinator, Poppy hopes he sparks a similar interest in the thousands of children he meets each year through his animal presentations at schools, libraries and other venues.

Scientist Sean Poppy said, “I like to show students the animals that live around here,” said Poppy, who takes a menagerie of turtles, snakes, alligators and other creatures as part of his presentations. “A lot of kids think tigers live around here.”
