Pioneer Day

A fun-filled day of living history demonstrations, family entertainment, Southern cooking and even an antique tractor and pre-WWII car show with people’s choice cash awards. It’s the only day of the year when we operate all of the attractions at the Lincoln County Historical Park. See us operate an animal-powered cotton gin, a grist mill, a sawmill, an apple cider press and a cane syrup press. Visit our doctor’s office and residence, the one-room schoolhouse, country store, tenant house, log cabin, smokehouse and wishing well. Come hungry; we’ll have chicken and dumplings, red beans and rice, turnip greens, and apple fritters plus sausage biscuits, hot dogs and hamburgers. Free admission!
