AMH Celebrates Juneteenth

Come celebrate Juneteenth with us, with a family fun day!

On June 19, 1865, two years after Abraham Lincoln delivered the Emancipation Proclamation, soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas ordering slave holding Texans to comply with the freeing of enslaved Americans. Thus Juneteenth was born!

A Lecture with Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History
And tours of the Museum
