Libraries Rock! 2018 Summer Reading Program

May 26th kicks off the Libraries Rock! 2018 Summer Reading Program at the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System. Richmond County residents call earn cool prizes and attend events being held throughout the summer. The reading program will run from May 26th – July 27th. 

How To Register

Children (10 & under)

Children have a choice of reading logs: Reading for time (15 hours) or number of books (30 books).
Children reading for time will mark off the amount of time they have read in 15 minute increments on their reading logs. Children reading for number of books will write down the name of the book they read on their reading logs.

Young Adults (11-17)

Young adults have a choice of reading logs: Reading for time (15 hours) or number of books (10 books).
Young adults reading for time will mark off the amount of time they have read in 15 minute increments on their reading logs. Young adults reading for number of books will write down the name of the book they read on their reading logs.

Adults (18+)

Adults must read 5 books and list those titles on the appropriate space on the bingo card. Adults can make BINGO just by reading any 5 books of their choosing or they can try one of the challenges on the card!

Special Events

Summer Reading Kickoff at Appleby Library!

Groove on down to the Appleby Branch Library for the Summer Reading Kickoff! Play games, make crafts, listen to the melodies of Mr. Bill and His Guitar, enjoy free snacks courtesy of Lanier’s Meat Market and more! Keep the evening going by staying for the free Evenings in Appleby Gardens Concert Series beginning at 8 pm

Teen Wrap-Up Party

Saturday, July 28th – Time to be Determined
Celebrate the end of summer reading at our Teen Wrap-Up Party! There will be food, music, dancing, and games! Keep an eye out for more details!
