Columbia County Ballet – The Nutcracker
Columbia County Performing Arts Center
The magic of Tchaikovsky ’s masterpiece comes to life on the Columbia County Performing Arts Center as the Columbia County Ballet sets this Christmas classic to dance. The Nutcracker is the story of Clara, a young girl who dreams of toy soldiers battling giant mice and a Nutcracker doll who comes to life in time to save her. The Nutcracker then transforms into a handsome Prince and takes her on a journey. Clara and her Prince travel through a land of snow and into the Kingdom of Sweets where they meet the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Conducted by Scott Weiss, the concert features beloved holiday favorites from The Polar Express, The Sound of Music, Sleigh Ride, and more. Kids can clap, dance, and sing-along with the music — and even meet a very special guest, Santa Claus!
