Youth Wing Workshops – January 2022

Our next Youth Wing Workshop of the season will be held on Saturday January 8! Grades 4 – 8 will meet from 11:00 – 12:30 and grades 9 – 12 will meet from 1:00 – 3:00. Both groups will meet at the Aiken Community Theatre at 126 Newberry Street in historic downtown Aiken. All Youth Wing workshops are FREE!

For our January workshops, Wendy Dietzel and Shannon Huey will lead our 4 – 8 graders in warmups and theatre games and then move on to work on monologues and group scenes provided by Youth Wing. For our 9 – 12 graders, USCA Theatre Professor Dewey Scott-Wiley will be presenting a workshop on Dialects.

For our workshops, the following guidance will be in place:

– Face coverings will be required of all adult volunteers, students, parents and guardians.
– Youth Wing Workshops must exclude children, volunteers, parents and guardians if they are showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in 14 days.
– Students must bring COVID-19 questionnaire (provided on our website) signed by parent or guardian to each Saturday workshop. The questionnaire may be found at this link: https://bit.ly/3t2fWF6
– ACT Youth Wing will provide face coverings (if needed) as well as hand sanitation to all volunteers and students.
