Project Linus Blanket Making Day
If you can use scissors and tie a knot, please come help us make blankets for children in need. We made 1,029 blankets in 2019 and we need HELP to exceed that so we can donate security blankets to even more children in 2020.
When: Saturday, January 25th any time between 9:00a—1:00p
Where: Community Events Room at Platt Funeral Home 337 N Belair Rd, Evans, GA 30809
Who: Any age is welcome. Students that need community service hours, scouts, grandkids.
What: Please bring friends to help! Fleece material (1.3 yards) or yarn would be great too.
Project Linus is a volunteer non-profit organization with a two fold mission:
First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer ‘blanketeers”.
Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
