Free Family Fun Fishing Clinic

The South Carolina DNR is coming out to North Augusta to partner with Savannah Riverkeeper and the GreenJackets to hold a FREE Family Fishing Clinic!

Have you ever been fishing or has it been a long time since you ‘wet’ your line? If you are intimidated by how to tie a Palomar knot or proper casting techniques for all situations, then we have a class for you. Not only will you be learning to fish, you also get to hang out with the Augusta GreenJackets mascot, Auggie!

Family Fishing Clinics is an introductory class to fishing.
The clinic will teach skills on how to tie fishing knots, how to rig a rod and reel, casting and the best part is everyone will get to try their hand at fishing. Rods and bait will be provided for clinic participants to use. The clinic will be located at the West Pond in Brick Pond Park.

Kids from ages 4 to adults are welcome, so come out and play, enjoy the outdoors, hang out with Auggie and make this a Family Fun Day!
