Family Fun Day – Piecing Together Aiken County
Learn about why Aiken County was formed in 1871 by cutting segments out of four pre-existing counties – Barnwell, Edgefield, Lexington, and Orangeburg. Families will learn about Aiken County’s founding by earning puzzle pieces at different “stations” in the museum. As they earn the pieces, the puzzle of Aiken County will be solved!
This event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Aiken County Historical Museum.
