Art Show with Lynndale Artists

Stop by Hire Grounds Cafe during August to enjoy the the Cane & Rush Dept. of Lynndale, Inc.’s art show! Meet the artists during our Artist’s Reception Saturday, Aug 25 from 3-5 pm!

For years the talented individuals of the Cane & Rush Dept. of Lynndale, Inc. have produced beautiful cane & rush seats for customers around the CSRA. In the Spring of 2017, with the introduction of Jenni Folger of Corks & Canvas, Augusta, GA to the Lynndale staff, their knack for detail required for cane & rush was channeled into brush & canvas. A whole new adventure unfolded!

Each individual has their preferred subject matter that they paint in acrylics. Beth finds beauty in food, like watermelon & avocado: Christina loves all things equine & wild, wild, west; Denise loves pairs (& pears); For Eve, the church is such an important part of life, painting churches was a perfect fit; Felecia’s work can be recognized immediately, her subjects are all plucked from the sky; Inez has a fondness for flowers both on canvas & fabric wreaths; Jason belongs in a hard hat considering his love of big construction vehicles; Jeff take ordi nary sports apparatus & makes it sing; Ronny has an affinity for sailing & the sea; Travis, hard to pin down to one interest, paints his dreams; and Joanna enjoys trying to capture the mystique of the butterfly in paint. She is also displaying her favorite discipline, cross stitch. Lastly, Willie, retiree of the Augusta Country Club has captured that chapter of his life in fabric wreaths.

The halls of Lynndale, alive with art, have drawn the attention of other participants as well. Nick, from the sanding department, has joined us with his own entry, “Amen”. It’s certain that this opportunity by the Hire Grounds Cafe & Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA to showcase our artwork will result in even more budding artists in the future!
