Important Information and Tips for Columbia County 4-H Club Expo!
• There will be four 30 minutes sessions.
o 6:30-7 pm, 7-7:30 pm, 7:30-8 pm, & 8-8:30 pm.
o All 6 clubs will have a session during each half hour segment.
o Sessions will run 20 minutes with 10 minutes of transition time.
o Doors to each club session will be closed when the session begins.
o No one will be allowed in after the session has begun. Please be early for each session.
• All students MUST be accompanied by an adult. Do not drop off your child. We will check at the door for a parent or an adult. It is appropriate for the student to come along with the adult to Club Expo. The informational sessions are just as much for them as they are the parent.
• Doors will not open until 6:00 pm. Please do not arrive extremely early. You will be waiting outside.
• Archery, Robotics, Rabbit & Cavy, and Horse Club will have their own sessions. Craft Club and Culinary Kids Club will share a session. All clubs are open to grades 5-12.
• We will not take registrations for any club before Club Expo Night. You must physically attend Club Expo to be eligible to register for any specialty club.
• More details regarding specific club meeting dates, requirements, and activities will be discussed during each club session. This info is not finalized until the Club Expo event.
• Almost all clubs will fill up during the expo. Several have very limited space.
o Arrive by 6:20 if there is a particular club you are interested in. Attend that session first.
o Archery, Rabbit and Cavy, and Culinary Club have the most limited space this year.
o If the parent is not available the night of the Expo, please send another adult with the child to attend the session and pay for the club.
o We will not hold spots in any club. First paid, first registered.
• Please be prepared to pay for each club registration in full the night of the event. Payments and registration for most clubs will be taken through Eventbrite. Please be sure to have a phone that can easily access the internet. Only those physically at Expo will be able to register online.
o Archery WILL NOT take any money the night of the event. Registration and equipment fees can be paid for in installments.
• Robotics has two separate clubs. First Lego League (FLL) is designed for younger kids starting in 4th grade. The high schoolers can participate in the First Robotics Competition (FRC) team. Both clubs will be explained further during the information session.
• Columbia County 4-H also has a Shotgun team. This team does not open for registration until January. There will be an informational both set up in the lobby of you have any questions about the shotgun program. This club is only open to grades 7th-12th.
• County 4-H t-shirts as well as discounted Columbia County Fair tickets ($5) will be available for purchase at the event. More information about other Columbia County 4-H clubs, judging teams, and will be available as well. SEE YOU ON OCTOBER 1st!
