COVID Openings: Atlanta Zoo Now Taking Guests

Summer day-trips are the best!! If you are looking for something to do…take a trip to Atlanta and take the kids to the zoo.

What You Need To Know Before You Visit Due To Coronavirus!

Ticketed System

The Atlanta Zoo will require online timed reservations for all guests and members. Staggered arrival times for entry will be available every half hour; however, visits will not be restricted once admitted to the park. Tickets can be emailed, printed at home or you can show on your device.

Admission is $24.99 for adults and $18.99 for children 3-11. 2 and under are free.

All active-duty, reserves, veterans, and retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces will receive free admission to Zoo Atlanta; valid military ID required at Zoo Admissions.

Hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The last admission is at 4 PM.

Safety Measures

Guests are encouraged to wear masks. If you don’t have one, there will be some available for purchase.

Hand Sanitizing Stations are placed throughout the zoo.

Social Distancing Markers are placed through the zoo to encourage guests to keep their distance.

They will be frequently cleaning and disinfecting touch points, restroom touch points and restrooms using a solution approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (CDC)

There will be one way traffic lanes to promote social distancing.

Attraction Closures

All buildings (restrooms excepted), indoor venues and indoor experiences are temporarily closed, as are Splash Fountain, vending and souvenir machines, photo stands, statue photo-ops and water fountains. Zoo Atlanta provides a largely outdoor experience in a park environment.

Rides, playgrounds and Treetop Trail are temporarily closed.

Food and gifts will be sold from outdoor kiosks. Onsite restaurants will be closed.

Mom Stuff

Outside Food Is Allowed. Pack a cooler of snacks and drinks if you want to save money on meals.

Bring Sunscreen. This is an outdoor park.

Talk To The Kids About The Closures. This will help with meltdowns about closed rides.

We Highly Recommend a Stroller or Pull Wagon. The kids will be walking alot and you may want something to store “all the things”.
